POWER GENERATION In recognition of the likely increase in demand for electrical power in the Arab world over the next decade, the Board of Directors of APICORP in 2001 approved a widening of the activity of the Corporation, to include the financing of the construction of electrical power plants. We have since commenced this activity on a selective basis giving preference to projects in Member Countries of OAPEC, which provide power for industry, especially to the oil and petrochemical sectors. The Corporation is prepared to finance power projects constructed for the public sector and for the private sector, for independent power projects.
